Chateau Lascombes的葡萄園是Margaux（瑪歌）產區中最為卓越的，其土壤類型也極為獨特。葡萄園中有三類面積相當、土質截然不同的地塊：礫石山丘上種有Cabernet Sauvignon（赤霞珠）和Petit Verdot（小維多），礫石粘土上種有Merlot（梅洛）和Cabernet Sauvignon，粘土-石灰岩地塊則種有Merlot。此外，與其他Margaux產區的酒莊不同，Chateau Lascombes的Merlot產量占葡萄總產量的半數之多。
2001年Dominique Befve上任後，Château Lascombes展開了全新的釀造方法，不僅加速提升酒的品質，並連續獲得國際品評大師Robert Parker 90多分的極高評價，讓Château Lascombes成為21世紀以來，成長最快的波爾多列級酒莊之一。Chateau Lascombes 是一款複雜的酒；結合了力量、優雅與柔滑，單寧豐富，哪怕未經陳年，仍然擁有深邃瑩潤的色澤和濃郁的香氣，令人驚豔。在口中，精細而柔和的口感與富含貴族氣息的單寧完美融合。
Tasting Note:
Deep but clear red, merest hint of maroon at the edges. Open nose: peppercorn, spice, fresh cherry and raspberry. Palate has firm tannins with fruit underneath. After 3h in the decanter it’s in the zone, there’s a definite primary element of berry fruit that is just starting to blend with the tannins into something richer and more interesting. Worth visiting again in a few years.
