Lafon-Rochet 這座來自波爾多 St-Estephe 的四級酒莊，歷史始於十六世紀，數百年來與波爾多許多酒莊相同，歷經了「興盛、轉手、重生、再起」的更迭，1960 年來自 Cognac干邑的 Tesseron 家族買下 Lafon-Rochet (1975 年此家族再買入 Pontet-Canet )，在老莊主 Michel Tesseron 領導下，自葡萄園開始重新整頓，將整個酒莊逐步重建。2007 年少莊主 Basile 接管酒廠，新一代的傳承亦帶來新的思維，為這座百年酒莊注入全新活力，在Michel和Basile的努力下，多個年份的 Lafon-Rochet 得到不少的獎項及好評，未來表現值得拭目以待。
酒莊名稱 Rochet 來自法文 Roches 石頭之意，呼應所在的村莊St-Estephe典型的礫石地形，酒莊本身坐落一塊碎石台地之上，俯瞰同村二級酒莊Cos d’Estournel 和臨村 Pauillac 的 Chateau Lafite，吉隆河近在咫尺，地理條件優越。以莊園為中心，四周環繞著 45 公頃的葡萄園，園內區分成 40個小區，遍佈石灰岩、礫石和黏土組成的土壤。種植 50% Cabernet Sauvignon、40% Merlot 和 5% Cabernet Franc 葡萄，平均樹齡約40歲。Lafon-Rochet 最具代表性的特徵是撲鼻而來濃郁複雜的黑色漿果香氣，圓潤滋味表現出 St-Estephe 的獨特個性，單寧圓滑，質地均衡優雅，引領而出溫潤優雅的風格。
Tasting Notes:
Well and truly past it and maybe even in the cemetary I have been impressed with recent vintages of this wine and was keen to see an older wine. Looks great with classic medium blood red cab colours and a nose of woody old spice and herbal notes. Palate was mostly shot with not a lot of fruit or structure although some zingy acid and spice on the finish kept this wine from being a total write-off.
